- I grew up in Washington Heights, a predominantly Dominican immigrant enclave in the northern tip of Manhattan (above Harlem -- yes, there is something above Harlem). Spanish was my first language.
- I attended the following schools: Mott Hall (elementary/middle school), Phillips Academy Andover (boarding high school), and Dartmouth College.
- I enjoy baseball, primarily the New York Yankees, but I also occasionally root for the Mets. I also always cheer for any/all Dominican player(s) on other teams (yes, including the ones on the Boston Red Sox -- who can really hate Big Papi?!?)
- I like trivia and am pretty good at memorizing completely useless pop culture facts.
- I am a carnivore, who only recently (in my time here in Azerbaijan) started to actually eat most vegetables.
